ABOUT ABOUT

Diez Minutos is an annual international festival of ten-minute plays written in English by award-winning playwrights from around the world, and performed for the first time in Mexico. This dynamic and challenging form, “the American theatre’s haiku,” has been embraced by actors and audiences everywhere.

The Fourth Annual International Festival of Ten Minute Plays presents:

8 Plays     4 Directors     14 Actors

Games People Play

ANDREA FLECK CLARDY (“Warming Up”). Inspired by whims, overheard conversations, memories, and other peoples’ writing, Andrea Fleck Clardy’s short plays have been widely produced. A proud member of the Dramatists Guild, she lives in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, and is thrilled to participate in Diez Minutos.

TOM COASH (“Kamasutra”). Tom is an American playwright and director. He spent three years in Bermuda and four years teaching playwriting in Cairo, Egypt. Tom has won numerous playwriting awards and his plays have been produced worldwide. His new play VEILS received the 2015 Osborn Award from the American Theatre Critics Association.

CONSTANCE GEORGE (“The Audition”). Her short plays have been seen in many festivals in NYC, including the 15 Minute Play Festival, and the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Festival. Directing includes Tartuffe, Ancestral Voices and Outward Bound. She is also a drama coach and actor.

PHOEBE GREYSON (“Friends”). Phoebe, a San Miguel resident, has been involved in local theater since 2009. She has appeared in, directed and produced numerous shows, including one musical review. She and Elaine Rathie wrote "Friends" for a scene study class they did together in 2006. The play is a reasonably accurate depiction of their relationship.

MARK HARVEY LEVINE (“Passed Hordes”). Mark has had over 1250 productions of his plays all over the world from New York to Bucharest to Seoul to London. His plays “Surprise” and “Shades” were seen previously in Diez Minutos. A Mexican-made, Spanish-language film of his play “The Kiss” (“El Beso”) aired recently on HBO.

BARBARA LINDSAY (“Cupid’s Beau”). Barbara Lindsay's plays have been produced in 33 states, 12 countries, and on every continent except Antarctica. She was a 26 year Los Angelina, living now in Seattle, Washington, married to an amazing man, and ridiculously happy.

EARL T. ROSKE (“Time for a Fix”). Earl is a San Francisco Bay area playwright. His short plays have appeared in festivals and contests around the world, from Racine, Wisconsin to Chennai, India. And now San Miguel de Allende, Mexico! He continues to write with the blessing of his wife and the permission of his daughter.

MARK SAUNDERS (“Delgado’s Mask”). A San Miguel resident, Mark writes short, humorous pieces befitting his height and attention span. His plays have been staged in the USA and Mexico, and two of his plays (“Who’s on Faust?” and “Playthings”) were published by Smith and Kraus.
